Club fingers
From WikiLectures
Club fingers (lat. digiti Hippocratici ) are the result of long-term hypoxia of the periphery , they accompany various lung diseases ( COPD , tumors , bronchiectasis , tuberculosis, cystic fibrosis ) and heart ( cyanotic heart defects) . They are most noticeable when looking at the finger from the lateral side. The first symptom is a decrease in the angle between the nail bed and the skin, the end of the nail bed floating freely in the skin.
