Decorticate rigidity

Decorticate rigidity arises in the case of an extensive bilateral lesion above the mesencephalon, i.e. in the case of a lesion of the hemispheres or diencephalon.
The upper limbs are "flexed" at the elbows and wrists are insupination. The lower limbs are extended.[1]
