Digitus malleus means hammer a ring.
Etiology[edit | edit source]
It occurs in association with Hallux valgus and transverse flat feet.
Clinic[edit | edit source]
- Hammer ring
- Fingers in basic MTF thumb joint in dorsiflexion. In the 1st intervertebral joint in flexion. Painful bursitis and corns above the 1st interarticular joint. Bruises on the belly of the thumb. It most often affects the 2nd finger.
- Club ring
- Contracture in the 2nd interarticular joint - in flexion. The 1st intervertebral joint is stretched.

Operating. Resection of the head of the phalanx. (Operation Sec. Post).
