Efflorescence configuration

Efflorescences occur on the skin or mucous membranes isolated and sporadically, in seeding (dissemination, exanthema, enanthema) or arranged in various configurations.
Configuration[edit | edit source]
- Linear: psoriasis, lichen ruber
- Moniliform (rosary, i.e. singly in a row like a rosary)
- Annular
- Circinary (into a circle), semicircinary (into a semicircle)
- Serpiginous (serpentine): tinea inguinalis
- Herpetiform: dermatitis herpetiformis
- Zosteriform: herpes zoster
- Geographic, map-like: psoriasis
- Iris: tinea faciei Kőbner's isomorphic phenomenon – papules in linear excoriation – psoriasis, lichen ruber, verrucae planea juveniles
