Hydrophilic

Hydrophilic means able to bind or dissolve in water. The opposite is hydrophobic.
Hydrophilic substances are composed of ions or polar molecules that attract water molecules due to electrical charges. Thanks to these charges, water molecules can surround them and convert them into solution.
