Axilarry intertrigo

Intertrigo is a skin disease caused mainly by mechanical influences. It is caused by friction of skin against the skin and chemical influences such as sweat are also involved. The main localisation is at the skin folds. It is most common in the groin. It occurs mainly in obese persons. Very often secondary bacterial or yeast infection occurs.

Clinical image: Sharply demarcated red areas in the skin folds, burning and painful, may become oozing.
