Latissimus Dorsi

Musculus latissimus dorsi belongs to the back muscles.
- Beginning: processus spinosi (Th6–Th12 and L1–L5), dorsum sacral bones, crista iliaca ossis coxae, caudal ribs;
- Attachment: crista tuberculi minoris humeri;
- Innervation: n. thoracodorsalis from plexus brachialis;
- Function: adduction of the arm, engaging the humerus (extension).
