Thromboxane A2

Thromboxane is a derivative of arachnoid acid. It is formed by activated platelets during hemostasis. It belongs to the group prostanoids, its activated form A2 causes vasoconstriction and aggregations of platelets, unlike other prostanoids, which have the opposite effect.
