Vibratory murmur

- is also called Still's murmur
- systolic functional heart murmur, physiological, innocent
- characteristic: audible (up to 3/6), lasts a short time, musical it (may sound like the muffled strumming of a string or also like the buzzing or screaming of a seagull) [1]
- is mostly heard: in the middle between the heart's apex and the left border of the sternum
- it changes with the patient's position – is better audible when lying down rather than when sitting, increases during the physical activity or the excitement
- occurrence: toddlers, preschool-age children, schoolchildren, and disappears in adolescents[1]
