Vishnevsky balm

Vishnevsky balm or also Vishnevsky suspension (patients like to call it "cherry ointment") is a suspension of tribromophenolate bismuth in castor oil with the addition with another ingredient. According to the original prescription, a Peruvian balm was added, and tar was later used.
Effect[edit | edit source]
Vishnevsky balm has an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, accelerates the demarcation of inflammation, coagulation and resorption of inflammatory infiltrate, and regeneration.
